The SILMO d'Or rewards the creativity and the inventive spirit for a whole profession. Created in 1994, this prize is a hallmark of originality and quality which honours the intrinsic values of the profession: innovation, technology and creativity. Consisting of experts in the fields of technology, science, healthcare, optics, eyewear, fashion and design, the panel is tasked with naming 5 products per category. The final jury, consisting of these and international experts as well as the French and international trade press, is responsible for selecting the winner from among the 5 nominees in each category.
i.Scription is the next generation in lens optimisation. It is an innovative method to optimise spectacle lenses on the basis of a wavefront measurement of the patient’s eye.
The award ceremony will take place in Paris on October 30, 2008. |
