Time Lapse
The Time Lapse module allows you to control the microscope, camera and hardware components automatically. As a result you can acquire and document dynamic processes with a portable and versatile image sequence.

Fast light control prevents damage to the specimen - an essential prerequisite for the quantitative analysis of life.
All frames of the image sequence will be saved as one single file in our ZVI file format. It can be distributed or presented even with our Freeware version AxioVision LE.

Time lapse image of Caenorhabditis elegans
The time lapse image shows the threadworm Caenorhabditis elegans, which has become a popular model organism over the last few decades, particularly in developmental biology and genetics. To open the time lapse please click on the image.

The fluorescence of the GFP (Green Fluorescent Protein) allows you to observe the spatial arrangement of specific structures in living Caenorhabditis elegans directly. Such applications are used, for example, in cell biology, developmental biology, neurobiology as well as psychology.

The time lapse was acquired at a rate of 25 images/s.
The equipment used was the AxioCam HR together with the SteREO Lumar.V12.
