AxioVision SFM Module 4.8 - Scanning Fluorescence Microscope
Link cell data generated by flow cytometry with associated cell images
Flow cytometers quickly provide the data required for a large quantity of cells and are able to isolate cell groups. However, the direct relationship between the raw data or the parameters and the individual cell image is usually lacking. Isolated cells can no longer be called up and visualized.

The AxioVision SFM system was designed to fill this gap. It is by no means intended to replace flow cytometry, but rather to offer the additional benefit of assigning the data to the cell images.

Typical cytospin sample
You will analyze the cells in cytospin samples. You will first acquire them using a digital camera, e.g. AxioCam MRm, via an upright light microscope, e.g. Axio Imager. After that you will measure them with the help of the image analysis software AxioVision. The results correspond to those of a flow cytometer.

With the AxioVision SFM module you are able to filter out cell groups, combine them in an image gallery, acquire them again at a higher magnification for better detail information and analyze them further.
